Privacy Policy

Your privacy matters to us. Ascend HR B.V. is a Dutch company registered in the Netherlands and we handle your data in accordance with the GDPR and Dutch UAVG.

We only ask for personal data when we genuinely need it to provide the service. That includes your name and work email to create an account, HR data such as goals and feedback that you or your employer enter into the platform. Payment details are handled entirely by Mollie B.V. — we never see or store your card number.

All data is stored on servers operated by Hetzner Online GmbH in Germany and Finland. We use Scaleway Transactional Email to send transactional emails. No personal data leaves the European Economic Area.

We retain your account and HR data for the duration of your subscription. After you cancel, your data stays accessible for 30 days so you can export it, then we delete it. Billing records are kept for 7 years as required by Dutch law. Server logs are deleted after 90 days.

We use a strictly necessary session cookie to keep you logged in. We don't use advertising or tracking cookies. If we ever add optional analytics, we'll ask for your consent first.

If you are a business customer, our Data Processing Agreement sets out how we handle your employees' personal data as a processor under Article 28 GDPR.

Under the GDPR you have the right to access, correct, delete, or export your personal data, and to object to or restrict how we process it. To exercise any of these rights, email us at hi@ascendhr.eu and we'll respond within 30 days. You also have the right to lodge a complaint with the Dutch Data Protection Authority at autoriteitpersoonsgegevens.nl.

If we make material changes to this policy, we'll notify you by email at least 14 days before they take effect.
